“A Deity Called Forgiveness” illustrates a manifestation of forgiveness appearing at the moment in which you finally feel at peace with yourself and your past. There is a visceral beauty that becomes apparent after processing mistakes, regret, and whatever else impedes you from moving forward. Arriving at a place of self-forgiveness feels like a kind of transcendence as you move past conflicting emotions that have burdened you.

“An Angel That Cannot Tread" is an interpretation of the tale of Rapunzel, trapped in a tower by a sorceress she knows as her mother. The mother figure constraining Rapunzel to the tower is inspired by the game FINAL FANTASY VII’s antagonist, Jenova, who is also sometimes referred to as "mother".
Animation, Graphic Design
I designed and animated social media assets for R3N3gades’ Miami Art Basel event with Basic.Space. Using Blender, I animated a 3D body wearing the pieces available for view at Miami Art Basel; I also designed the digital invitation for the event.
Animation
I provided animations for MIMCHIK’s social media, including a jelly animation by converting their vector logo to a 3D model, as well as a 3D room with a printer, showcasing their new collection.
Graphic Design, Animation
I created a digital invitation for the Shiatzy Chen and Studio Sativa Paris fashion week event. I also modeled and animated a 3D dragon based on a watercolor painting that was designed for their collections.
Animation
I created 11 short looping animations for Aries’ album WELCOME HOME [deluxe].

“Amalgamation” is a reflection of my overconsumption of media and how it shapes my identity. There is an irony in finding comfort and entertainment in media (anime in particular) that also perpetuates misogyny.
American media has also perpetuated this kind of misogyny in its own way, given the long history of fetishization and orientalism in many films, which contribute to harmful stereotypes of Asian women in particular.
I take all of these themes into consideration when defining myself; an amalgam of media, history, and my own lived experiences, embedded with the will to reject and transcend those stereotypes. I explore these themes by utilizing 3D models juxtaposed with a 2D self, as well as multiple images from popular anime and American films.
This animation was made for the 2021 UCLA DMA Senior Show.

“Lovers” is inspired by the tarot arcana of the same name. It illustrates the beauty of intimacy, connection, and oneness.
